UnMeditation + Cannabis = Success

There is a massive difference between sitting in silence and practicing active emotional release.

We’re often told the answer is simple: sit still, focus on your breath, and everything will settle.

In theory, it sounds beautiful.

In practice, for many people, it’s anything but.

Because when you sit quietly and turn inward, you aren’t just calling in peace. You meet whatever is already there – restlessness, anxiety, emotional buildup that hasn’t been processed.

And instead of resolving it, that stillness can actually intensify it.

So people stop. Or assume they’re doing it wrong.

They’re not.

They’ve just been given a method that doesn’t meet them where they are.

That is why I guide my clients toward active emotional release, a method designed to safely process and shift those heavy feelings rather than asking you to sit silently in discomfort.

Enter: “UnMeditation” Meditation… expressive and direct

In my emotional release work, we don’t try to quiet the unruly (and often scary) emotions that are arising.

We work with them. In fact, we rocket directly to them!

Instead of sitting still hoping something shifts, we engage the emotion head-on, through an active, guided process that allows the emotional energy to move, rather than remain stuck. In fact, it is so unlike mindfulness meditation, that devotees have fondly called it the “Unmeditation meditation” and “industrial strength” meditation.

In doing this, we apply a multidisciplinary framework that engages your difficult emotions (such as anxiety, anger, depression, self-doubt and more) in order to move them through. That’s when what’s been stuck can begin to release.

Where Cannabis Comes In for Active Emotional Release

This is where cannabis, used consciously, becomes a powerful ally.

Not as an escape and not as a way to numb or check out.

But as a way to soften the internal resistance that so often keeps this material locked in place. Stuck.

When used intentionally, and this is key, cannabis can:

  • increase sensitivity to sensation
  • deepen emotional access
  • make it easier to feel what’s been guarded

Dosing is pivotal in this equation. This is not about getting high and hoping for insight. It’s not about getting baked – you’re working with just enough to open the door, not blow it off the hinges.

A judicious thoughtful amount, paired with my guided processes, can create a state where you’re more able to be in touch with your deep inner terrain… without being overtaken by it.

You stay present with the plant softening the edges and let the Emotional Liberation process work its magic. This kind of work isn’t passive – you’re stepping into a more intimate relationship with yourself.

An Invitation

If you’ve struggled with traditional meditation, or found that sitting quietly doesn’t actually help you move what you’re feeling, you’re not alone. Not by a long shot. I’ve seen this pattern play out with countless students and clients.

There’s another way.

I offer a monthly Elevation Ceremony, where we engage my active Emotional Liberation process, supported by guided inquiry and other tools to meet your unruly emotions. Optionally, cannabis can come in as a conscious, spiritual support to work directly with what’s arising.

It’s not about escaping your experience. It’s about meeting it so you can finally shift it. And don’t concern yourself with how to do it as when you register you will get a “how to” video that explains how to meet your “sweet spot.”

My next ceremony is in May; it’s online and complimentary, and you’re very welcome to join us. You can register here. It’s always recorded so you can experience it on your own time or to return again!

If something in you is ready to move, this is a place to start (and for my regular participants, to continue).

With Love,

Becca
